Corrections, Retractions, and Removal Policy
At ClinMed Nexus: Journal of Clinical and Medical Research (CMN-CMR), we are committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. We adhere to ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other international standards to address post-publication issues such as errors, ethical violations, and data concerns.
1. Corrections (Errata/Corrections of Record)
Corrections are issued when a published article contains minor errors or inaccuracies that do not alter the overall conclusions of the work, such as:
- Author name misspellings
- Affiliation errors
- Typographical mistakes
- Mislabeling of figures or tables
Correction notices will be:
- Linked to the original article
- Clearly labeled as “Correction”
- Published promptly and indexed for visibility
2. Retractions
A retraction is issued when there is evidence that the article contains significant errors or ethical violations, including but not limited to:
- Plagiarism
- Fabricated or falsified data
- Redundant publication
- Unethical research practices
- Serious methodological flaws that invalidate findings
Retraction notices will:
- Clearly state the reasons for retraction
- Remain permanently linked to the original article (which will be marked as retracted)
- Be freely accessible to ensure transparency
- Be issued jointly by the editorial office and/or the publisher, and when applicable, with the authors’ involvement
3. Article Removal
In rare and exceptional cases, articles may be removed from the journal’s online platform when:
- The article is subject to a legal order (e.g., defamation, privacy violation)
- The content poses a serious risk to public health or safety
- The article contains false or misleading content that cannot be corrected
A removal notice will be published in place of the article, stating the reasons for removal.
