Desk Rejection Policy
At ClinMed Nexus: Journal of Clinical and Medical Research (CMN-CMR), we strive to maintain a rigorous and efficient peer review process. As part of our editorial workflow, submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors before being sent for external peer review.
A desk rejection may occur at this stage if the manuscript is found to fall outside the journal’s scope or fails to meet basic scholarly or ethical standards.
Reasons for Desk Rejection
- The manuscript is outside the scope of CMN-CMR (i.e., does not address clinical or medical research).
- The submission lacks scientific or methodological rigor.
- The manuscript is incomplete, poorly written, or fails to follow the journal’s formatting guidelines.
- The topic has been extensively covered and does not offer novelty or new insights.
- The manuscript contains evidence of plagiarism, data fabrication, or other forms of academic misconduct.
- The article is a poor fit for the journal’s audience, structure, or editorial goals.
What Authors Can Expect
Authors will be notified of a desk rejection promptly, usually within 7–14 business days of submission. A brief explanation will be provided to help authors understand the decision. Desk rejection is intended to save time for authors and reviewers by providing an early editorial decision.
Resubmission
Authors may be invited to revise and resubmit if the topic is deemed relevant but the manuscript requires substantial improvements. In such cases, editorial feedback will be provided.
CMN-CMR encourages authors to carefully review the journal's scope, submission guidelines, and formatting instructions before submitting a manuscript.
