Manuscript Withdrawal Policy
ClinMed Nexus: Journal of Clinical and Medical Research (CMN-CMR) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. We expect our authors to reflect the same ethical commitment in all stages of manuscript submission, peer review, and publication.
While we recognize that in rare circumstances an author may wish to withdraw their manuscript, such requests must be handled responsibly and in accordance with our editorial policies.
Withdrawal Guidelines
- Manuscript withdrawal is only permitted with formal approval from the Editor-in-Chief.
- If a manuscript is withdrawn after acceptance or publication, a withdrawal fee will apply to cover administrative and processing costs, including updates to indexing databases and internal records.
- Manuscript withdrawal after peer review or final publication is discouraged, as it leads to wasted editorial and peer reviewer time, and undermines the integrity of the publication process.
Authors are strongly advised to:
- Ensure the accuracy and authenticity of all data, analysis, and interpretations before submission.
- Resolve all authorship issues and secure written consent from all contributing authors before submitting the manuscript.
- Respond promptly and responsibly to editorial or reviewer communications, and to any queries raised post-publication.
- Obtain all necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted materials, figures, tables, or photographs, and provide patient/participant consent where applicable.
- Ensure the manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, data manipulation, or duplication of previously published work.
- Avoid multiple or simultaneous submissions of the same manuscript to different journals.
- Conduct thorough internal checks prior to submission to ensure the manuscript is final and agreed upon by all authors.
Important Considerations
- Publication fees will not be refunded if a manuscript is withdrawn after acceptance or publication.
- If a manuscript is withdrawn after peer review but before publication, and has been approved for publication, any publication fees paid will also be non-refundable.
- In the event of non-response from authors to editorial communications (despite repeated reminders), CMN-CMR reserves the right to take appropriate action, including disclosing the situation to relevant institutions, repositories, or indexing bodies.
- CMN-CMR is not liable for any consequences arising from an author’s failure to engage with editorial correspondence.
