Peer Review Policy

At ClinMed Nexus: Clinical and Medical Research, we follow a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure impartial, high-quality evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous, ensuring unbiased decisions and maintaining the integrity of scientific research.

Peer Review Objectives

  • Evaluate the validity, originality, and scientific significance of the research.
  • Ensure that published work meets ethical standards and journal guidelines.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help authors improve clarity and quality.

Review Process

  1. Initial Editorial Screening: Manuscripts are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief for relevance, scope, and basic quality checks. Papers may be desk rejected at this stage.
  2. Reviewer Assignment: Submissions are sent to two or more independent subject-matter experts.
  3. Double-Blind Review: Both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed.
  4. Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers assess originality, methodology, ethics, data validity, and clarity.
  5. Decision Making: Editors decide to accept, request minor/major revisions, or reject based on reviewer recommendations.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.
  • Maintain manuscript confidentiality.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest or decline the review if bias is possible.
  • Report suspected plagiarism, data manipulation, or ethical violations.

Revision & Resubmission

Authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments point-by-point. Revised manuscripts may be subject to additional rounds of review until all issues are resolved.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors who disagree with an editorial decision may file an appeal with detailed justification. The Editor-in-Chief will review appeals and may involve independent experts if necessary.

Timelines

The peer review process typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.

Confidentiality & Ethics

All reviewers and editors are bound to strict confidentiality and ethical standards. We adhere to COPE guidelines for handling misconduct, plagiarism, or unethical research practices.
