Plagiarism & Originality
ClinMed Nexus: Journal of Multidisciplinary Sciences
This policy describes the principles and procedures applicable to plagiarism & originality at ClinMed Nexus: Journal of Multidisciplinary Sciences.
1. Originality Requirement
Submitted work must be original and appropriately acknowledge earlier scholarship, methods, text, images, and data.
2. Plagiarism
Presenting another person’s language, ideas, images, results, or data as one’s own without proper attribution is unacceptable.
3. Text Recycling and Overlap
Reuse of authors’ previously published material must be transparent, appropriately cited, and consistent with copyright and journal policies. Material overlap may warrant editorial examination.
4. Duplicate and Simultaneous Submission
The same substantive manuscript must not be under consideration at another journal at the same time. Related manuscripts and earlier dissemination should be disclosed.
5. Preprints and Conference Material
Authors should identify relevant preprints, conference proceedings, and repository versions, including links and differences from the submitted manuscript.
6. Similarity Assessment
Editors may use similarity-detection software as one part of assessment. A similarity percentage alone does not establish misconduct; context and proper citation matter.
7. Author Response
Where overlap is identified, authors may be asked for explanations, source files, permissions, and corrections.
8. Editorial Outcomes
Depending on severity and evidence, outcomes may include revision, rejection, notification of relevant institutions, or post-publication correction or retraction.
